The 2009 calendar features 10 different Victorian styles as well as Abraham Lincoln's Greek Revival home in the year of his bicentennial birthday and a few other Lincoln ties including his son, Robert Todd Lincoln's home in Chicago plus the house histories. This years calendar features the definitions and sketches of 15 Victorian house styles and the time periods that they were built. Also included is the most comprehensive directory of Illinois Bed & Breakfasts that you will find anywhere, over 300 more than you can find on any other listing. And for those that are interested there is a list of the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Birthday Events in and around Springfield.
There is a George Barber designed home in this year's calendar, he was America's king of Queen Anne style architecture. Most of the homes in this year's calendar are privately owned , 4 are open for tours ( Lincoln's Home and the Edward's Place in Springfield, the David Davis Mansion in Bloomington, and Decatur's Milikin Homestead ), 2 are B&B's, and one is a law office.
I sincerely hope people enjoy looking at these fabulous houses and reading their histories as much as I enjoyed photographing them for they are true masterpieces of architectural design.
The calendar is 12 x 12 closed and 12 x 24 open.
